We will be sending you an 'issue' about once a month with news of the community and the MCA (that's Manchester Community Association NOT the Manchester Christian Academy).

CHRISTMAS IN MANCHESTER

This special edition newsletter is to let you all know about the special Christmas events in Manchester this weekend. Watch for the regular newsletter around Christmas.

On Friday, December 12th, the Argosy Cruise ship from Seattle will be stopping in Manchester. The decorated Christmas Ship, Spirit of Seattle, will stop at the Manchester City Park (by the dock) between 7:40 and 8:00 PM. The ship will not dock in Manchester but will be floating just off shore. On board, the featured choir, Olympia High School Jazz Ensemble, will broadcast their vocal talents via speaker to people gathered around scheduled bonfires on shore.

BJ's Deli and Mama Java will be open late on Friday evening so that you may enjoy BJ's complementary hot cocoa and sample Mama Java's Eggnog or Candycane Latte Special. You will find Mama Java inside BJ's Deli. BJ's new location is right next door to the Manchester Food Center.

Then, on Saturday, December the 13th, the Manchester Community Association will begin stringing the lights on the town tree at about 9:00 AM. Everyone is welcome to come down and lend a hand.

At the Manchester Library Susan Lee & others will be presenting an "Afternoon of Christmas Music" from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Please stop by and enjoy the music. There will be hot cider, cocoa, coffee & cookies available. It will be fun for kids and adults to come to the library to munch, sip & enjoy some festive holiday jammin'!!!

Later that night the Port Orchard Yacht Club's Christmas Ship Parade will swing by Manchester at about 5:30 PM. The Christmas Ships leave Southworth at 5:00 PM and arrival time at Manchester depends on wind, water, weather and speed of the ships.

Once again, BJ's Deli and Mama Java will be open late for you. At Mama Java parents will receive a free hot cocoa for their child with a purchase of a tall (or bigger) drink.

After the parade of ships, at approximately 6:30 PM, the Manchester Community Association will be lighting the town tree which is located in the Manchester Library parking lot.

HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!
