Tree Lighting Festivities

Thanks to everyone who came out to join us for the annual Community Tree Lighting last month.  It was a fun couple of nights - with the Argosy Christmas Ship coming by one night, and the Port Orchard Yacht Club Boat Parade the next.  We had a bonfire on the beach each night, and hosted a hot chocolate & cookie booth during the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Santa came by with the Fire Department to do the tree-lighting honors and to meet with the kids.  It was really a fun little community event, and we were all happy to be a part of it.

The MCA would like to give special thanks to Tommy Briggs for once again helping us out with the tree - we really couldn't do it without his help!

We would also like to thank everyone who brought canned food to the event to donate to HelpLine - we collected several boxes full and the good people at HelpLine were very grateful.  Thanks again for your generosity!
